From the Corporate World to Our Grandparents' "Cassero"
A Life Choice (1997-2003)
Our story begins far from here. We met in 1997while working for the same multinational company. We had secure, structured careers, but we felt that the essential element was missing: true human connection.
The dream of building something of our own knocked so loudly that, in 2003we decided to listen. We left the certainty of a steady job to focus on people and the joy of making someone feel truly welcome.
Restoring the Ferrarese "Cassero"
In July 2004 Piazza Nova Guest House was born.
Not in just any building, but in Ruggero’s grandparents' homeIt is a typicalFerrarese "cassero"a late 19th-century townhouse that develops vertically, telling the history of our family and the city, floor by floor. We restored these spaces while respecting their soul, to offer an authentic experience to those visiting Ferrara.

Before being hosts, we are travellers: we have visited over 35 countries. The style of hospitality you will find at Piazza Nova is deeply inspired by our travels in Asia.There, we learned that true hospitality is made of discreet gestures and attentive, yet never intrusive, assistance. We want to replicate that feeling of silent care right in the heart of Emilia.
