STAY TERMS AND CONDITIONS – PIAZZA NOVA GUEST HOUSE

Art. 1 – Scope and definitions

These Terms and Conditions govern the accommodation contract between Piazza Nova Guest House, operated by R.E. Nova di Ruggero Calabria & C. S.n.c., with registered office at Corso Porta Mare, 133, VAT no. 01599830385, hereinafter referred to as the “Property,” and the person making the booking, hereinafter referred to as the “Guest.” Confirmation of the booking constitutes acceptance of these conditions, except for any specific arrangements expressly accepted in writing by the Property.

Art. 2 – Booking and confirmation

2.1. L’Ospite può inviare una richiesta di disponibilità non vincolante. Il contratto si intende perfezionato solo al momento dell’invio della conferma scritta da parte della Struttura, contenente il prezzo totale, le date del soggiorno e gli eventuali servizi inclusi.
2.2. L’Ospite è tenuto a verificare tempestivamente i dati riportati nella conferma e a comunicare eventuali errori o anomalie entro 4 giorni dalla ricezione. Decorso tale termine, la Struttura potrà ritenere confermati i dati riportati, salvo errore materiale evidente o difformità rispetto a quanto pattuito per iscritto.

Art. 3 – Rates and payments

3.1. Standard rate. As a rule, no advance payment is required. The balance shall be paid at check-in, unless otherwise stated in the booking confirmation.

3.2. Exceptions for holidays and events. During peak seasons or special events (for example: New Year’s Eve, Easter, Ferrara Summer Festival, or similar periods indicated by the Property), the Property may request credit card details as a guarantee or a deposit equal to 50% of the total amount within 3 days of confirmation, as expressly stated in the booking confirmation.

3.3. Non-refundable rate. For promotional offers expressly marked as “non-refundable,” the full amount must be paid at the time of booking by credit card or bank transfer. This rate does not allow refunds in case of cancellation, except in cases provided by law or expressly recognized in the booking confirmation.

3.4. Accepted payment methods on site. Cash within legal limits, debit card, and credit card.
 3.5. City tax. The city tax is due in accordance with the applicable municipal regulations of the Municipality of Ferrara and must be paid according to the method communicated by the Property at the time of stay. 3.5. City tax. L’imposta di soggiorno è dovuta secondo la normativa comunale vigente del Comune di Ferrara e deve essere corrisposta secondo le modalità comunicate dalla Struttura al momento del soggiorno. L’importo, le eventuali esenzioni e le modalità di versamento sono disciplinati dal regolamento comunale applicabile.

Art. 4 – Cancellation and no-show

Any cancellation must be communicated in writing by email to info@piazzanova.it or through the cancellation form provided in the booking confirmation. The following penalties apply, except in the case of non-refundable rates and unless otherwise stated in the booking confirmation:

  • Up to 6 days before arrival: free cancellation.
  • From the 5th day before arrival: penalty of 40% for multi-night stays or 50% for a single night.
  • From the 2nd to the 1st day before arrival: penalty of 50% for multi-night stays or 100% for a single night.
  • On the day of arrival or no-show: penalty of 100% of the total amount.
  • Events and holidays: free cancellation within 10 days before check-in; after that deadline, the Property may charge up to 100% of the total amount.
  • Early departure: no refund is due for interruption of an already started stay, unless otherwise agreed in writing by the parties.
 

Art. 5 – Guest obligations and property rules

5.1. Identification. Upon arrival, each guest, including minors, must present a valid identity document, pursuant to Art. 109 of the Italian Public Security Act (TULPS).

5.2. Times. Check-in is from 2:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and check-out by 11:00 a.m. The Guest must communicate the arrival time in advance to allow proper reception arrangements. If arrival is delayed by more than 3 hours compared with the agreed time, without prior notice, the booking may be considered a no-show, unless a justified reason is promptly communicated.

5.3. Pets. Small pets up to 15 kg are allowed, subject to notification at the time of booking. Pets must always remain under the owner’s supervision and may not be left alone on the premises for extended periods. Access may be denied or withdrawn in the event of dangerous, aggressive, or otherwise incompatible behavior with the peace and safety of other guests. Owners are liable for any damage to persons, furnishings, or facilities, and the Property may charge the actual repair costs.

5.4. Smoking ban. Smoking is prohibited inside the property, including traditional cigarettes, electronic cigarettes, heated tobacco devices, and similar devices. The ban applies to all indoor areas, including rooms, bathrooms, corridors, and common areas. Smoking is permitted only in the designated outdoor area. In case of violation, the Property may charge the actual costs of cleaning and restoration and, in more serious cases, terminate the stay.
